PARK ROAD CAR PARK, DARTINGTON HALL TRUST, DARTINGTON, TQ9 6EE
SATURDAY DEC 5TH 2020, 5:30PM
The Dark Dart Dash, a 10K night race around the woods of Dartington, is back for its sixth year.
We’ve continued the 5k version, which is open to anyone over 12, and have 2k & 1k kids races for children aged 3-11.
The terrain is less challenging than the Wild Night Run, so if you’re new to night running, this race is an ideal introduction. However, there are still a few hills and usually a fair bit of mud (although some of the worst sections have recently been resurfaced). Bring your friends, dress up, have a sup of mulled wine, share in the festive atmosphere and enjoy warm food, cooked by our caterers. Oh, and bring a head torch…you will need it!
RACE ENTRY INCLUDES: electronic chip timing, fully marked out course using poles, arrows & flashing lights , feed station, Birch wood finisher’s medal, bottled water for all finishers, free number transfer if you are unable to run, category prizes & spot prizes (via our free to join Strava club).
It’s not compulsory but fancy dress is encouraged for this race and there’ll be prizes, including Petzl head torches, for the best costumes.
We now have an optional team competition. If you don’t have a team, you can use your club name to qualify for the team competition. Your team’s time is the combined time of the first three team members to cross the line.
