Dark Dart Dash 10K, 5K, 2K & 1K
The Refectory, Dartington Hall Trust, Dartington, TQ9 6EE
Sat 16 Dec, 5.30pm
ONLINE ENTRIES NOW CLOSED BUT WE WILL HAVE SOME ON-THE-NIGHT PLACES AVAILABLE FOR ADULTS & KIDS
The Dart Dart Dash, a 10K night race around the woods of Dartington, is back for its 4th year.. We’ve moved the Start/Finish up to Dartington Hall for this year. But don’t worry it’s the same course, just with a slightly less brutal start!
A great warm up race for the Wild Night Run in Feb. By popular demand we’ve added a 5K version open to anyone over 12 and 2K & 1K Kids Races for children from 2-11 (with a FREE t-shirt for all under 12s)
The terrain is less challenging than the Wild Night Run and if you’re new to night running, this race is an ideal introduction. However there are still a few hills and (usually) a fair bit of mud. Bring your friends, dress up, have a sup of mulled wine and share in the festive atmosphere and warm food, cooked by the fantastic Kitchen Table. Oh and bring a head torch…you will need it!
It’s not compulsory but fancy dress is encouraged for this race and there’ll be some prizes for the best costumes!
Race entry includes: electronic chip timing, fully marked out course using poles, arrows & flashing lights , feed station, Birch wood finisher’s medal, bottled water for all finishers, free number transfer if you are unable to run, category prizes & spot prizes (via our free to join Strava club).
We now have an optional team competition. If you don’t have a team use your club name which will also qualify for the team competition. The team’s time is the time of the first three team members to cross the line added together.
Worried about running at night or not sure why we do?
Check out all the feedback and comments from our first race in the series on Fri 4th November 2016.
