Burrator 10K FAQs
How do we get our race numbers & timing chips?
They will be posted out approximately 2 weeks before the race.
I’ve injured myself. Can I get a refund?
Unfortunately not. However we do offer free name changes. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and we’ll send you a code that the person taking your place can use to book on.
Can I bring my dog?
Unfortunately dogs are not permitted to run under England Athletics rules. If you have one or more people supporting you they can bring a dog with them.
Is there a baggage drop?
Yes, we have two secure baggage drops. One is in the Discovery Centre (HQ) and the other is with the baggage van by the reservoir.
Is there somewhere to get changed or showers
Unfortunately not. There are toilets (including a number of portable toilets) but nowhere to get changed or have a shower.
Is the course exactly 10K?
Yes the course has been accurately measured and will be certified by England Athletics.
Will this race count for points on RunBritain?
Is there a medal for finishers?
Yes all finishers receive a medal and a Burrator 10K t-shirt.
Why have the prices gone up?
This year there’s a free t-shirt with every entry and free event photographs plus additional buses, baggage trucks, portable toilets etc. And also putting on a closed road event with a free Park & Ride service, signing contractors, diversion signs, extensive signage, first aiders and mountains of paperwork, incurs extra costs which we’ve had to pass on.
What’s the Strava Club & how do I join?
It’s free to join and there’s the chance to win spot prizes. You’ll find all the details on our Strava Page – STRAVA PAGE
What’s the minimum age for the 10K & the Children’s Races?
Under England Athletics (Runbritain) rules the minimum age is 15 for road 10Ks (16 for trail BTW).
However we also have kids races in the hour before the main race on the trails round the Reservoir. And anyone entering children for the Kids Races will bet a pass to park by the Reservoir.
There is a 1K for children under 8 (and children as young as 2 are welcome accompanied by a parent) and a 2K for children aged 8 – 14. CLICK HERE to find out more.
Where can I park?
There is a free Park & Ride Service from Yelverton. Please do not attempt to park at the lake due to the road closure. The sole exception is if you have children taking part in the Kids Races in which case you will receive a special pass.

Can I run with my kids in the kids race?
